Job Summary:
The Pre-Dispatch Inspector is responsible for conducting thorough inspections of products or equipment before they are shipped to customers. This role ensures that all items meet quality standards, comply with regulations, and are properly documented to prevent any issues upon delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- **Visual Inspection**:
- Perform detailed visual inspections to identify any physical defects, damages, or inconsistencies in products.
- Ensure all items are correctly labeled and packaged as per company standards.
- **Functional and Performance Testing**:
- Conduct tests to verify that products or equipment operate correctly and meet performance specifications.
- Use diagnostic tools and procedures to simulate operational conditions.
- **Dimensional Verification**:
- Measure critical dimensions of products to ensure they fall within specified tolerances.
- Use precision measuring instruments and tools for accurate assessments.
- **Documentation Review**:
- Verify that all necessary documentation, such as compliance certificates, test reports, and user manuals, are complete and accurate.
- Ensure that all required forms and reports are properly filled out and signed.
- **Compliance Verification**:
- Check that products meet all industry standards, regulatory requirements, and safety guidelines.
- Ensure that compliance certifications are valid and up-to-date.
- **Packaging Inspection**:
- Review packaging materials and methods to ensure they will protect the product during transit.
- Confirm that packaging includes necessary handling instructions and is labeled correctly.
- **Issue Identification and Resolution**:
- Document any defects or issues found during the inspection process.
- Coordinate with production or engineering teams to resolve identified problems.
- **Final Approval and Dispatch Preparation**:
- Grant final approval for products to be dispatched once all inspection criteria are met.
- Prepare and organize products for shipment, ensuring readiness for transport.
- **Reporting and Documentation**:
- Maintain accurate records of inspection results, issues identified, and actions taken.
- Prepare detailed inspection reports for management review.
Qualifications:
- **Education**: High School Diploma or equivalent. Technical certification or degree in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Quality Assurance) is preferred.
- **Experience**: Minimum of [X] years of experience in quality control, inspection, or a similar role within a manufacturing or logistics environment.
- **Technical Skills**: Strong understanding of quality assurance principles, product testing methods, and industry standards.

- **Technical Proficiency**: Familiarity with inspection tools, measuring instruments, and relevant software (e.g., MS Office, ERP systems).
