customers, and work to ensure their satisfaction.
Understanding products: Sales representatives learn about the products or services they sell, and
have a strong understanding of them.
Presenting products: Sales representatives demonstrate product features to customers, and prepare
sales presentations.
Negotiating contracts: Sales representatives negotiate contracts with clients.
Closing sales: Sales representatives close sales deals.
Following up: Sales representatives follow up with customers, as research shows that most
customers require multiple follow-ups before making a purchase.
Monitoring competition: Sales representatives monitor the competition by gathering information on
pricing, products, and trends.
Coordinating with other departments: Sales representatives coordinate sales efforts with other
departments, such as marketing and company programs.
Preparing reports: Sales representatives prepare weekly and monthly reports.
Resolving customer issues: Sales representatives resolve customer complaints and provide solutions.
Keeping up with trends: Sales representatives keep up to date with best practices and trends in the
industry.
