**Job Title: Procurement and Logistics Assistant - Furniture Industry**
**Job location: Chembur**
**Experience: 3+ yrs**
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Procurement Management**:
Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize costs and improve supplier relationships.
Identify evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, price, delivery times, and service.
Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers to ensure competitive rates and favourable terms.
Monitor market trends to identify potential suppliers and materials for new product lines.
**Inventory Management**:
Manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability while minimizing excess inventory.
Develop and maintain inventory control procedures to track stock levels and product movement.
Coordinate with the sales team to forecast demand and adjust procurement strategies accordingly.
**Logistics Coordination**:
Oversee the logistics and transportation processes, including shipment scheduling and route optimization.
Coordinate with freight carriers and logistics providers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
Manage warehousing operations, ensuring compliance with safety standards and efficient space utilization.
**Supplier Relationship Management**:
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to support business objectives.
Regularly evaluate supplier performance and initiate corrective actions as necessary.
Foster partnerships that enhance product offerings and supply chain efficiencies.
**Collaboration and Reporting**:
Collaborate with other departments (e.g., design, production, sales) to align procurement and logistics strategies with overall business goals.
Prepare and present reports on procurement and inventory status to senior management.
Analyze data to identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.
**Qualification & Skills**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- Proven experience in procurement and logistics management 5+yrs, preferably in the furniture or manufacturing industry.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of market trends and supplier capabilities within the furniture industry.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹12,967.53 - ₹41,726.42 per month
