Job Opening: Procurement & Logistics Executive – Vegetables & Fruits

Location: Mumbai, Maharashtra

Experience: 2+ years preferred in Fruits & Vegetables sourcing and export/import operations

Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Procurement & Logistics Executive with a strong understanding of vegetables and fruits. The ideal candidate will be responsible for end-to-end product sourcing, procurement, supervising packing and loading, and tracking transportation up to shipment. A background in agriculture and knowledge of multiple languages is highly preferred.

Educational Qualifications:

Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture or related field (Horticulture, Agribusiness, Agri-Technology).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Sourcing: Identify and liaise with reliable farms, vendors, and local markets for procurement of fresh vegetables and fruits.
  • Procurement Management: Handle purchase planning, negotiate pricing, and ensure quality and quantity standards are met.
  • Operations Supervision: Oversee the grading, packing, and loading of products to ensure safe and damage-free transport.
  • Logistics Coordination: Monitor transportation and track shipments until dispatch/export is completed.
  • Documentation Support: Assist with procurement records, delivery notes, and shipment logs as required.

Requirements:

  • Language Skills: Must be fluent in English, Hindi, Marathi. Knowledge of Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, or Malayalam is a plus.
  • Tech Skills: Familiarity with mobile tools.
  • Other Skills: Strong attention to detail, ability to work independently, and willingness to travel to farms or markets as needed.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 2 or 3 years' in a relevant role involving fruits & vegetables procurement
