Position Overview:
The Territory Business Manager (TBM) is responsible for driving sales and business growth within a specific geographic territory. This role involves developing and implementing sales strategies, managing key client relationships, and ensuring that the company’s products and services meet customer needs. The TBM plays a crucial role in increasing market share, expanding the customer base, and achieving revenue targets within the assigned territory.

Key Responsibilities:

- **Sales & Revenue Growth**:

- Develop and execute a sales plan for the assigned territory to meet or exceed revenue targets.
- Identify new business opportunities, build relationships with potential customers, and convert leads into sales.
- Drive sales through direct selling, B2B relationships, partnerships, and networking.
- Monitor and manage sales pipeline to ensure consistent growth and achievement of sales goals.
- **Client Relationship Management**:

- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing clients, key accounts, and stakeholders within the territory.
- Act as the primary point of contact for customers in the region, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Conduct regular client visits and follow-ups to ensure product or service delivery meets expectations.
- **Market Analysis & Strategy**:

- Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify new opportunities and threats.
- Provide insights to senior management for refining sales strategies and targeting new customer segments.
- Understand and communicate the competitive landscape in the territory and create plans to differentiate the company’s offerings.
- **Product Knowledge & Sales Presentations**:

- Maintain in-depth knowledge of the company’s products, services, and value propositions to effectively present to customers.
- Conduct product demonstrations, presentations, and training sessions to educate customers on the benefits and features of the offerings.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional campaigns and sales collateral specific to the territory.
- **Sales Reporting & Forecasting**:

- Track and report sales activities, customer interactions, and progress toward goals using CRM systems or other reporting tools.
- Provide regular updates and reports to the management team on sales performance, forecasts, and market conditions.
- Review and analyze performance data to refine sales tactics and optimize results.
- **Sales Target Achievement**:

- Ensure the sales targets and quotas are met on a consistent basis by actively managing sales efforts and maintaining motivation.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve performance when sales are below targets.
- Coordinate with other departments (marketing, customer service, etc.) to align sales strategies and efforts.
- **Team Collaboration**:

- Collaborate with other sales team members, managers, and departments to share information, strategies, and best practices.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior sales representatives or other team members as needed.
- **Budget Management & Cost Control**:

- Manage the territory sales budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources to maximize return on investment (ROI).
- Monitor and control expenses within the allocated budget while driving sales growth.
- **Event Participation & Networking**:

- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, conferences, and customer meetings.
- Network with key industry professionals to build relationships and explore new business opportunities.

Qualifications:

- **Education**:

- A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
- MBA or relevant additional qualifications are a plus.
- **Experience**:

- 3+ years of experience in sales, business development, or territory management, preferably in [industry or product type].
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth in a defined territory.
- **Skills**:

- Strong sales and negotiation skills with a focus on building relationships and closing deals.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess market trends, competition, and customer needs.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and sales reporting tools (e.g., Salesforce, Zoho).
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision while being a team player.
