**Job Summary**:
The Commis I is responsible for preparing high-quality dishes in their assigned section while adhering to established standards, recipes, and guidelines. The role requires excellent culinary skills, teamwork, and a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized kitchen.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Food Preparation & Cooking**:

- Prepare and present dishes in accordance with standardized recipes and quality guidelines.
- Assist in creating new recipes and menus under the supervision of senior chefs.
- Handle daily mise en place efficiently and accurately.
- **Kitchen Operations**:

- Manage a specific section of the kitchen and ensure smooth operations during service.
- Monitor food storage, preparation, and cooking processes to ensure food safety and hygiene standards are met.
- Ensure portion sizes and waste control are adhered to minimize costs.
- **Hygiene & Cleanliness**:

- Maintain a clean and organized workstation at all times.
- Follow food safety protocols, including HACCP standards.
- Participate in cleaning schedules for equipment and kitchen areas.
- **Team Collaboration**:

- Support and assist team members as needed, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Provide training and guidance to junior kitchen staff when required.
- **Inventory & Supplies**:

- Monitor stock levels and report shortages to the Chef de Partie or Sous Chef.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of ingredients to maintain freshness and quality.

**Requirements**:

- **Education**: Diploma or certification in culinary arts or a related field is preferred.
- **Experience**: Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a 4-star or 5-star hotel kitchen.
- **Skills**:

- Expertise in a specific cuisine (e.g., Continental, Indian, Chinese) is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- **Attributes**:

- Passion for cooking and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Team player with a proactive and positive attitude.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
