**Location**: Egmore, Chennai.
**Roles & Responsibilities**:
- Assisting the Executive Chef: The sous chef supports the executive chef in menu planning, food preparation, and daily operations. They may also step in for the executive chef when needed.
- Managing Kitchen Staff: Supervising and guiding kitchen personnel, including cooks, line chefs, and kitchen assistants. They ensure the team works efficiently and maintains high standards.
- Ensuring Food Quality and Presentation: Maintaining the high culinary standards for which Italian cuisine is known, including perfecting the flavor, texture, and visual appeal of dishes.
- Inventory Control and Ordering: The sous chef is responsible for managing kitchen supplies, ensuring ingredients are fresh and properly stored, and placing orders when necessary.
- Maintaining Cleanliness and Safety: Ensuring that the kitchen follows health and safety guidelines. This includes food safety protocols and maintaining hygiene and cleanliness throughout the kitchen.
- Training and Development: The sous chef may be tasked with training new kitchen staff and helping existing team members improve their skills, particularly in Italian cooking techniques and traditions.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
