**About the role**:
As a FMCG Sales Officer (Pune), you will play a crucial role in optimizing and expanding our operations. Currently, the company is managed by the founder, with assistance from core members, while relying on vendors and clients. With the company in its nascent stage, this is an excellent opportunity to take on significant responsibilities and contribute to its development.

We are looking for a proactive individual who can take charge of market development, establish partnerships with retail stores, wholesalers, and distributors, and build strong relationships with key stakeholders. Your role will involve setting sales targets, _creating a robust reporting system_, coordinating cross-functionally, and staying updated on industry trends. This position offers ample room for growth and impact as we continue to scale our Millet-based businesses and introduce new healthy grain products.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop market strategy for Pune _and major cities_, onboarding retail stores, retail chains, wholesalers, and distributors.
- Build relationships with key stakeholders in the retail sector.
- Conduct market analysis and tailor sales strategies.
- Set sales targets and drive promotional activities.
- Determine pricing strategies and negotiate agreements.
- Collaborate cross-functionally for seamless operations.
- Stay updated on industry trends and attend relevant events.

**Qualifications and Skills-**
- Prior working experience in a sales role, preferably in the FMCG sector.
- Familiarity with data and analytics tools relevant to sales activities.

**Skills**:

- Familiarity with market research and analytical skills for identifying opportunities and assessing competition.
- Outstanding communication skills to build rapport with customers, collaborate with internal teams, and motivate sales representatives.
- Strong negotiation and sales skills to facilitate product placement and increase market penetration.
- Possess adaptability and demonstrate the ability to effectively implement guidance from the CEO, when needed.
- Ability to proactively contribute, take ownership and tackle tasks beyond core responsibilities when required.

The Millet Company is a Pune-based startup dedicated to the production and distribution of millets and millet-based products. We are driven by our commitment to rediscover and integrate traditional farming techniques into modern agriculture practices. Our goal is to provide a diverse range of naturally organic super-grains to consumers while promoting the nutritional value and sustainable cultivation of these grains. With a strong emphasis on quality and innovation, we strive to offer a variety of millet-based products that cater to the evolving preferences of health-conscious individuals.

**Note**:
The contract period will be a 6 months probation, before extension to full time. We will have a small personality test, as we consider this colleague to be long-term collaborator for the future.

Pay: ₹240,000.00 - ₹360,000.00 per year
