**Job Summary**:
The Indian Chef will oversee the preparation and cooking of authentic Indian dishes, with a primary focus on Kolkata-style biryani. The role requires culinary expertise in Indian cuisine, knowledge of regional flavors, and the ability to maintain the highest standards of quality and taste. This chef will contribute to menu innovation and ensure a delightful dining experience for customers.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Food Preparation & Cooking**:
- Prepare Kolkata-style biryani with authentic taste, aroma, and presentation.
- Cook a variety of Indian dishes, including curries, tandoori items, kebabs, and bread, using traditional techniques.
- Ensure consistency in flavor, portion size, and quality across all dishes.
- **Menu Development**:
- Innovate and suggest new dishes to enhance the menu while preserving the authenticity of Indian cuisine.
- Collaborate with the management team to introduce seasonal and festive menus.
- **Quality Control**:
- Maintain strict control over the quality of ingredients, spices, and overall food production.
- Conduct regular tastings to ensure dishes meet the restaurant's standards.
- **Team Collaboration**:
- Train and mentor junior chefs and kitchen staff in Indian cooking techniques, especially biryani preparation.
- Work closely with the Head Chef and other departments to ensure smooth operations during service hours.
- **Inventory Management**:
- Monitor the stock levels of Indian spices, ingredients, and supplies.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of raw materials to prevent wastage.
- **Hygiene & Safety**:
- Adhere to food safety and hygiene protocols as per FSSAI standards.
- Keep the kitchen area clean, organized, and compliant with health regulations.
- **Customer Experience**:
- Address customer feedback related to Indian dishes and implement improvements.
- Ensure dishes are served promptly and meet customer expectations.
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
**Education**:
- Higher Secondary(12th Pass) (preferred)
**Experience**:
- Chef: 1 year (preferred)
