Purchase Executive

**Position: Purchase Manager / Purchase Executive - Solar Projects**

Location: Bhubaneswar

**Job Type**: Full-time

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Sourcing and Vendor Management**:

- Identify and qualify suppliers/vendors capable of supplying materials, components, and services required for solar projects.
- Negotiate favorable terms and conditions with suppliers/vendors to ensure cost-effective procurement.
- Maintain strong relationships with key suppliers/vendors and evaluate their performance regularly.

**Material Planning and Inventory Management**:

- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to determine material requirements for each solar project.
- Develop material procurement plans and schedules to meet project timelines and budget constraints.
- Monitor inventory levels and optimize stock levels to minimize excess or shortage of materials.

**Purchase Order Processing**:

- Prepare and issue purchase orders based on approved requisitions and purchase specifications.
- Review purchase orders for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Track order status and expedite deliveries as necessary to ensure on-time project execution.

**Cost Management and Budgeting**:

- Analyze price proposals, cost estimates, and quotations from suppliers/vendors to determine the most cost-effective options.
- Monitor procurement costs and identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality or project requirements.
- Prepare and manage budgets for procurement activities and ensure adherence to approved budgets.

**Quality Assurance and Compliance**:

- Ensure that all purchased materials, equipment, and services meet quality standards and specifications.
- Verify compliance with contractual requirements, technical specifications, and regulatory standards.
- Conduct supplier audits and inspections to ensure adherence to quality and compliance standards.

**Risk Management and Mitigation**:

- Identify potential risks and supply chain disruptions that may impact project timelines or costs.
- Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans to address procurement-related risks.
- Monitor market trends and industry developments to anticipate and mitigate potential risks.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Diploma/BE in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Purchase Manager or Procurement Manager, preferably in the solar industry or related field.
- In-depth knowledge of procurement processes, sourcing strategies, and contract negotiation techniques.
- Familiarity with solar project components and materials, such as solar panels, inverters, mounting structures, cables, etc.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to analyze data, interpret trends, and make informed procurement decisions.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CSCP, CPIM, CPM) is a plus.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Prior experience in purchasing materials and equipment for solar projects.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools used in the execution of solar projects.

**Salary: 20k - 30k**
