1.Design, plan and implement sourcing and purchasing strategies.

2. Work with suppliers, manufacturers and internal departments.

3. Maintaining the supplier database, purchase records and related documentation.

4.Coordinating with inventory control to determine and manage inventory needs.

5.Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors.

6.Managing supplier relations and negotiating contracts, price, timeline etc.

7.Negotiate lower pricing.

8.Search and source potential suppliers and vendors.

9. Provide reports to management.

**Purchasing Requirement**

1.Experience as a purchasing manager or in a similar position.

2. Hands-on experience in budgeting and purchasing management

3.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. (English, Hindi, Odia)

4. Strong critical thinking and negotiation skills.

5. Strong planning and organizational skills.

6. Ability to work independently.

**Education**:Must have Bachelors in Business Administration, Finance, Logistics, supplychain management or another related field

**Active listening**:Purchasing managers use active listening skills to communicate effectively with stakeholders and make sound purchasing decisions.

**Computer and technology knowledge**: While researching, purchasing managers may use procurement software and frequently use spreadsheets to track purchases.

**Critical thinking**: To choose the best item or service for their organization, purchasing managers use critical thinking to analyse their options and select the option with the most desirable price, quality and other standards.

**Leadership**:Purchasing managers use leadership skills to guide their purchasing team and help train new employees.

**Math skills**:When comparing prices, purchasing managers deal with many numbers and use math skills to make sure they get the best deal for their organization.

**Negotiation**:Purchasing managers negotiate with suppliers when setting terms in a contract to ensure their organization gets the best deal.

**Planning**:To help them organize and keep track of multiple projects, purchasing managers can plan their tasks, meetings and purchases ahead of time.
