Job Title: Commi 1- Indian Cuisine
**Salary**: 18k PM
Location: Fort, Ghatkopar, RCT
**Position Summary**:
**As a Commis 1, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and cooking of authentic Indian dishes while ensuring high food quality and hygiene standards. You’ll support the Chef de Parties and Sous Chef, taking ownership of your section and contributing to smooth kitchen operations.**
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook Indian dishes such as curries, tandoori items, biryanis, dals, and regional specialties with precision.
- Handle mise en place and set up the workstation with necessary ingredients and equipment.
- Ensure all food preparation meets hygiene and safety standards.
- Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by the kitchen leadership.
- Train and supervise junior kitchen staff when needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and order in the kitchen area and storage.
- Coordinate with other kitchen sections to ensure timely service.
- Monitor stock and communicate shortages or requirements to the chef.
**Requirements**:
- Diploma or certification in Culinary Arts or related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in Indian kitchen operations, preferably in a hotel or restaurant setting.
- Sound knowledge of North and/or South Indian cuisine.
- Strong understanding of food hygiene and safety procedures.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.

Pay: ₹17,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
