**Position**: Commi III - Indian Cuisine
**Department**: Kitchen / Culinary
**Reports To**: Chef de Partie / Sous Chef

**Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**
- **Food Preparation**:

- Assist in preparing ingredients for Indian dishes, including chopping, marinating, and blending spices.
- Help with mise en place for curries, tandoori items, biryanis, and other Indian delicacies.
- Follow recipes and instructions from senior chefs to maintain flavor and presentation standards.
- **Cooking and Plating**:

- Cook Indian dishes under the guidance of senior chefs, ensuring consistency in flavor and appearance.
- Plate food as per standard presentation requirements.
- Handle tandoor operations, including naan and kebab preparations if required.
- **Maintaining Cleanliness & Hygiene**:

- Keep workstations clean, organized, and sanitized in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and maintained after use.
- Dispose of waste appropriately and maintain hygiene standards in the kitchen area.
- **Inventory and Stock Management**:

- Assist in monitoring inventory levels of Indian spices and ingredients.
- Inform senior chefs about low-stock items or any quality issues with ingredients.
- Help with proper storage of ingredients, ensuring freshness and preventing spoilage.
- **Supporting Senior Chefs**:

- Assist Chef de Partie and Sous Chef in managing kitchen operations, especially during peak hours.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned, including handling small functions or buffets.
- Cooperate and communicate effectively with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow.

**Qualifications & Skills**
- **Education**: Hotel Management; culinary training or certification in Indian cuisine is a plus.
- **Experience**: 1-2 years of experience in an Indian kitchen, ideally in a similar role.
- **Skills**:

- Basic understanding of Indian spices, herbs, and cooking techniques.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Knowledge of food safety, handling, and sanitation standards.

**Additional Information**
- **Work Conditions**: Flexible to work shifts, including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
- **Physical Requirements**: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift items up to 25 lbs.
