Job Description: Executive Chef

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Plan and direct food preparation and culinary activities.
- Modify menus or create new ones that meet quality standards.
- Estimate food requirements and food/labor costs.
- Supervise kitchen staff's activities.
- Arrange for equipment purchases and repairs.
- Recruit and manage kitchen staff, ensuring proper training.
- Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations.
- Monitor and maintain food quality and consistency.
- Handle customer complaints regarding food quality and service.
- Stay updated on food trends and industry practices.

**Qualifications**:

- Proven working experience as an Executive Chef or similar role.
- Excellent record of kitchen management.
- Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently.
- Capable of delegating multiple tasks.
- Communication and leadership skills.
- Keep up with cooking trends and best practices.
- Working knowledge of various computer software programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS).
- Culinary school diploma or degree in food service management or related field.

**Skills**:

- Creativity and a keen eye for detail.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in menu planning and cost control.
- In-depth knowledge of sanitation principles, food preparation, and nutrition.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
