Richie Rich is a premium culinary brand known for its gourmet desserts, upscale bakery items, and innovative catering experiences. We are expanding our pastry division and seeking a visionary **Executive Pastry Chef** to lead our kitchen, create world-class desserts, and inspire a high-performing team.
**Job Summary**:
As Executive Pastry Chef at Richie Rich, you will be responsible for managing all pastry operations — from R&D and production to presentation and quality control. You’ll lead a team of skilled pastry chefs and bakers, innovate our dessert offerings, and help shape the sweet side of the Richie Rich experience.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Oversee day-to-day pastry kitchen operations across dine-in, delivery, and catering verticals.
- Create and execute high-end desserts, pastries, breads, and confections.
- Lead new product development for festivals, events, and limited-edition launches.
- Manage kitchen team: hiring, training, scheduling, and performance monitoring.
- Maintain consistency in quality, flavor, and aesthetics.
- Handle cost control, portioning, inventory, and vendor management.
- Ensure strict hygiene and food safety compliance (FSSAI or equivalent).
- Collaborate with branding, marketing, and event teams on promotions and visuals.
**Requirements**:
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on pastry experience; 2+ years in a leadership role.
- Culinary degree/diploma in Pastry Arts or Baking from a reputed institute.
- Proven expertise in modern pastry techniques, chocolate work, viennoiserie, and plated desserts.
- Creative, disciplined, and detail-oriented approach.
- Strong leadership, training, and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
**Preferred (Bonus) Skills**:
- Prior experience in luxury hotels, boutique patisseries, or catering.
- Knowledge of international trends — French, Italian, or modern fusion.
- Skills in vegan, gluten-free, or health-conscious desserts.
