**Position Overview**: A Sales Assistant is responsible for supporting the sales team and providing excellent customer service to ensure a smooth and efficient sales process. The role involves assisting customers with their inquiries, promoting products, handling transactions, and maintaining store or showroom displays. A Sales Assistant works in retail environments, showrooms, or in-office settings, ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Customer Service**:
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with product information, recommendations, and queries.
- Provide product demonstrations and explanations to customers as needed.
- Process customer orders, returns, and exchanges promptly and accurately.
- Address customer complaints and resolve issues to maintain positive relationships.
- **Sales Support**:
- Assist in meeting and exceeding sales targets by promoting products and services.
- Maintain knowledge of current promotions, sales, and product features.
- Upsell or cross-sell products to customers to increase sales.
- **Product Knowledge**:
- Stay updated on product offerings and features to provide knowledgeable advice to customers.
- Assist in the restocking and merchandising of products to keep displays neat and organized.
- **Sales Transactions**:
- Handle cash, credit, or debit card transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system and handle receipts, refunds, and exchanges as needed.
- **Administrative Support**:
- Maintain accurate customer records and sales documentation.
- Assist with inventory management, including tracking stock levels and notifying the manager of low stock.
- Support in processing online orders or coordinating deliveries if applicable.
- **Store Maintenance**:
- Ensure the store environment is clean, organized, and welcoming.
- Ensure that the store's visual displays are attractive and up to date.
- **Team Collaboration**:
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and create a positive work environment.
- Assist other departments or team members as needed to support store operations.
**Required Skills and Qualifications**:
- High school diploma or equivalent (additional education or training in retail or sales is a plus).
- Previous experience in retail or customer service is preferred.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Basic math and cash handling skills.
- Friendly and approachable with a strong customer service focus.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Team-oriented with a willingness to collaborate and support others.
**Physical Requirements**:
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Light lifting may be required (up to 25 lbs).
**Working Hours**:
- Flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays depending on the retail environment.
**Job Type**:
- Full-time or part-time, depending on the employer.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
