Retail Structured Products Team

**JOB DESCRIPTION** The Team** We are a team of ten lawyers providing legal coverage to the securitised derivatives and structured products businesses within the Markets division of the Corporate and Investment Bank (CIB) in EMEA. The team is spread across London, Frankfurt and Mumbai. We work closely with the Structured Investments Distributor Marketing (SIDM) and Equity Derivatives lines of businesses. The SIDM business covers the sale of structured products through distribution channels to retail and high-net worth investors. The products are sold through a number of legal wrappers, most commonly in securitised format. The securities are issued via J.P. Morgan subsidiaries, special purpose vehicles and third party MTN issuers. The products span across a full spectrum of asset classes including equity, credit, FX, commodity, rates, inflation, exotics & hybrids and funds. The business also has a Shariah-compliant structured products programme. The Equity Derivatives business, among other things, runs a successful German exchange traded warrants (ETP) platform. **The Role** **Essential skills, qualifications and experience** We are looking for someone who is: - licensed to practice law and a member of good standing or otherwise in compliance with the in-house counsel registration rules of that state/jurisdiction or has para-legal experience from a law firm or in-house role - a team player, confident and proactive, enjoys regular interaction with Sales & Trading, legal colleagues and other corporate functions - exceptional organisational skills and great communication skills - fluent in drafting, including the ability to draft "plain language" disclosure documents - experienced with structured products and derivatives documentation - familiar with negotiating distribution agreements and licence agreements **ABOUT US** JPMorganChase, one of the oldest financial institutions, offers innovative financial solutions to millions of consumers, small businesses and many of the world’s most prominent corporate, institutional and government clients under the J.P.
