**Description**

Operations Technician (Manufacturing) supports in manufacturing process planning and execution, continuous improvement, tooling/fixture design, process/quality control, new product design and layout design. Operations Technician also collaborates closely within the team, design engineering, operations, quality, supply chain and facility engineering.

The roles and responsibilities of a Operations Technician include, but are not limited to the following
- Ability to manage current product improvements through Engineering change process management
- Complete process design, tool planning and documentation for Engineering changes
- Develop and implement assembly processes in line with Caterpillar standard processes
- Developing and managing process documents viz..SWS/SWES, PFMEA, SFMEA and Control Plans.
- Managing MBOM changes and ensuring MBOM accuracy through regular audits
- Perform time study and line balancing activities to improve process efficiency
- Train the production team on the new/changed content during new process introduction.
- Responsible for tool planning and maintenance for NPI and current production.
- Responsible for CAV-E improvement activities at BHL/SSL. Coordinates with CFT team for conducting the audits and driving improvements to enhance process and product quality.

**Basic Qualifications**

Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Automobile/Production Engineering

Diploma - Min. 5 yrs

BE - Min. 2 yrs

Experience with the following systems: Autocadd, Pro-E

Knowledge of manufacturing concepts

Good written and oral communication skills

Manufacturing Engineering related work experience will be an added advantage
