Key Responsibilities

1. Machine Operation & Production Execution

  • Operate laser engraving and marking machines including
    Han's Vuzming
    ,
    metal marker
    ,
    laser marker
    , and other CO₂/Fiber laser units.
  • Use software such as
    Smart Carve 4.3 DXF
    ,
    EZCAD 2.14.9
    , and
    PhotoGrav 3.0
    for engraving setup and file preparation.
  • Perform
    sublimation printing
    ,
    heat pressing
    ,
    printing ironing
    , and
    direct-to-product branding
    .
  • Run
    Laminator XL-12
    and ensure bubble-free, scratch-free lamination.
  • Operate
    acrylic heat bending machines
    for fabrication of custom trophies, signage, and gifting products.

2. Artwork & Pre-Press Preparation

  • Prepare files for laser, sublimation, or printing based on design requirements.
  • Convert artwork into machine-compatible formats (DXF, PLT, BMP, PNG).
  • Ensure correct size, alignment, engraving depth, and print color accuracy.
  • Coordinate with the design team for approvals and corrections.

3. Quality Control & Finishing

  • Inspect finished products for accuracy in engraving, printing clarity, color sharpness, and finishing.
  • Conduct quality checks at every stage—pre-press, production, and post-production.
  • Rework or correct defects immediately and maintain quality logs.
  • Ensure neat finishing—ironing, trimming, lamination, cutting, cleaning.

4. Maintenance & Machine Care

  • Perform basic maintenance, cleaning, and calibration of lasers, printers, laminators, and other production equipment.
  • Report technical issues, breakdowns, or consumable shortages to the Production Manager.
  • Keep the workspace, tools, and machinery clean and safe.

5. Inventory & Material Handling

  • Manage raw materials such as sublimation sheets, ink, acrylic sheets, laminates, films, powders, and fixtures.
  • Track usage of consumables and report stock requirements.
  • Ensure proper storage of materials to prevent damage or wastage.

6. Production Planning & Coordination

(For Senior/Lead Technicians)

  • Delegate tasks to junior technicians and assistants.
  • Organize daily production schedules based on deadlines.
  • Update job status to the Production Manager.
  • Ensure orders are completed within timelines while meeting quality standards.

7. Safety & Compliance

  • Follow all machine safety guidelines (laser protocol, heat press safety, chemical use).
  • Use PPE and ensure team members follow safe practices.
  • Maintain logs for machine usage and maintenance.

Required Skills & Competencies

Technical Skills

  • Knowledge of
    laser engraving and cutting
    machines
  • Proficiency in
    Smart Carve
    ,
    EZCAD
    ,
    PhotoGrav
    , or similar software
  • Experience in
    sublimation printing
    ,
    heat pressing
    ,
    DTF/printing ironing
  • Operation of laminator XL-12
    and
    acrylic heat bending machines
  • Strong understanding of materials like acrylic, MDF, metal, fabric, and plastics

Soft Skills

Qualifications & Experience

  • 1–5 years (Technician) / 5+ years (Senior / Lead Technician) in printing, laser engraving, fabrication, or promotional product manufacturing
  • Basic knowledge of computers and design file handling
  • Experience in corporate gifting production is a plus
  • ITI/Diploma/Technician training preferred (not mandatory)
