Electrical Technician

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Technician to join our team and support our electrical and service operations.

The Electrical Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, focusing on control panel wiring, PLC programming, refrigeration systems, and service work. This role demands a solid understanding of electrical systems and control technologies, along with practical experience in troubleshooting and maintenance.

**Key Responsibilities**:
1. **Control Panel Wiring and Installation**:

- Assemble, install, and wire control panels according to technical drawings and electrical schematics.
- Ensure all wiring and connections are completed in compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Conduct testing and troubleshooting of control panels to ensure proper functioning before deployment.

2. **PLC Programming and Troubleshooting**:

- Program, configure, and maintain Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) used in refrigeration systems and climatic test chambers.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot PLC-related issues to minimize downtime and ensure efficient operations.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to optimize PLC programs and integrate new control strategies.

3. **Refrigeration Systems Support**:

- Perform electrical maintenance and repair work on refrigeration systems, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with industry standards.
- Assist in the installation of new refrigeration units and conduct electrical inspections.
- Work closely with refrigeration technicians to ensure electrical systems are functioning properly and safely.

4. **Service and Maintenance Work**:

- Provide on-site electrical service support for customers, including troubleshooting and repair of electrical components.
- Maintain detailed service records and reports for all maintenance and repair activities.
- Ensure all electrical tools and equipment are properly maintained and calibrated.

5. **Safety and Compliance**:

- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures while performing electrical work.
- Stay updated on industry regulations and standards related to electrical safety and refrigeration systems.
- Participate in safety training programs and contribute to a safe working environment.

**Qualifications**:

- Diploma or certification in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience as an Electrical Technician, with a focus on control panel wiring, PLC programming, and refrigeration systems.
- Strong understanding of electrical schematics, control systems, and safety standards.
- Hands-on experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, etc.).
- Familiarity with HVAC and refrigeration systems and their electrical components.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

**Preferred Skills**:

- Experience in the refrigeration or HVAC industry.
- Knowledge of advanced PLC programming and control system integration.
- Certification in electrical safety and handling of refrigeration systems.
