Gurgaon, India Forbidden Foods (BRB Popped Chips) Full time

A new-age, better-for-you snacks startup is looking for a team member to lead its pan-India institutional channel sales effort. The selected candidate will work directly with the founders to develop and grow the institutional business. This is a great opportunity to join a fast growing startup and become a part of building a large consumer brand in India.

Responsibilities

The role will involve the following broad responsibilities:

  • Primary responsibility for developing the institutional channel for the brand and end-to-end ownership of the associated sales targets
  • Creatively identify, pitch to, and activate new customers across channels such as vending machines, HORECA, airlines, corporate offices, school & college canteens, movie theatres, travel retail, etc.
  • Generate leads and manage the funnel of prospects using modern CRM tools
  • Come up with ideas for new and unconventional sales channels and opportunities
  • Develop a strong relationship with existing clients to grow the brand within these accounts
  • Maintain pricing and margin discipline while achieving growth targets
  • Develop sales plans and forecasts and liaise with the supply chain team to ensure fulfilment
  • Identify opportunities for brand building, visibility and other forms of marketing in these channels
  • Gather business intelligence, market feedback, and competitor analysis to feed into overall company plans

Required Qualifications & Competencies

  • The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in sales or business development at an FMCG/ F&B brand
  • Work experience at a startup will be an added advantage
  • Prior experience in institutional sales will be preferred but is not a must-have prerequisite
  • Bachelor's degree from a reputed college; An MBA is not a pre-requisite
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • A go-getter attitude with an entrepreneurial mindset
  • Strong adherence to the sales process discipline
  • Confident, pleasing and amiable personality
  • A very high level of personal integrity and uncompromising ethical behaviour
