  • Great at proactive, empathetic communication - You will be directly talking to founders; you are expected to be very thorough with all your communication (written as well as verbal).
  • Ability to sit down, simplify nuanced problems statements and ask the right questions to solve the right problems.


What will you do?

Your first 30 days

  • You will go through a training period where you’ll work with a Tealbox veteran to understand how we do what we do.
  • You will understand what success means for a certain portfolio of clients.
  • You will shadow check-in calls with founders of those portfolio client companies.


Your next 60 days

  • You will work directly with a Paid Strategy Lead.
  • You will be assigned your own portfolio of clients for whom you will be solely responsible.
  • You’ll spend time interacting with the founders of these companies to understand what challenges they are facing, evaluate whether this is something we can solve for them and prepare an action plan to do so.


The following 90 days

  • There’s a point where you need to get your hands less dirty and start focusing on larger problem statements. 
  • You will hire, train and onboard new talent to your team to take up what you do so that you can explore uncharted territory for yourself.
  • You will work with the rest of the Tealbox team on interesting, intriguing problem statements and see its execution through from inception to execution.
  • Stay on course towards our relentless pursuit of perfection.


In short, you will be responsible for streamlining, strengthening and growing the revenue coming from your portfolio of clients.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Will I be responsible for bringing on new clients?

A: Not at all. We have a dedicated business development team that will bring in interesting businesses to you. With that being said, happy customers bring other customers; so, in some sense you will be responsible for getting more referrals.


Q: What will my day look like?

A: It will be distributed between doing check-in calls with your team, the larger Tealbox team, responding to clients’ queries or taking updates to them on Slack/Email and growing their business. We believe that work needs to be done when it needs to be done and trust our employees to work as individual contributors. However, we are mindful and empathetic to the fact that the usage of their time affects another.


Q: How core is this role to the company’s functioning?

A: Tealbox is a fundamentally flat organization and being a lean team: It is as core as it gets. You’re just as important as the co-founders and the young interns we bring in from time to time. Additionally, you will be directly responsible for the revenue of the company and will be at the center of all things we do.

Q: What kind of clients do you work with?

A: We’re just as meticulous about the clients we work with as we are with hiring new people in our team. We work with businesses who are respectful of our time just as we are of theirs. Businesses we work with understand that we’re partners who are invested in their growth rather than viewing us as an offshore agency. These businesses could be from any global geography and any size (ranging from pre-revenue to listed entities).
