Business Development Executive Industry: Food & BeverageLocation: KolkataSalary: ₹4,00,000 – ₹4,50,000 per annumExperience: 4-5 years in business development or sales (F&B/FMCG preferred)Employment Type: Full-timeRole OverviewAs a Business Development Executive, you will be the growth engine for our brand in India. You’ll identify and convert new sales opportunities, forge strong partnerships with distributors and retailers, and collaborate across teams to amplify our market presence.Key ResponsibilitiesOpportunity Identification: Research and map potential B2B and B2C clients—restaurants, cafés, specialty stores, e-commerce platforms and institutional buyers.Lead Generation & Conversion: Qualify prospects, pitch product offerings, negotiate contracts, and close deals to achieve monthly & quarterly revenue targets.Relationship Management: Build and maintain robust relationships with distributors, wholesalers, modern trade outlets, and foodservice chains.Market Research: Monitor F&B trends, competitor activities, and regional tastes to inform strategy and new product recommendations.Trade Events & Exhibitions: Represent company at food expos, trade fairs, and industry networking events; coordinate on-ground demos and sampling campaigns.Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with Marketing for promotional campaigns, with Operations for order fulfilment, and with Product R&D for feedback on assortments.Reporting & Analysis: Maintain CRM records, prepare weekly/monthly sales reports, and forecast pipeline performance.Qualifications & SkillsBachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related field.1–3 years’ experience in sales or business development—ideally within F&B, FMCG, or hospitality.Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities.Strong analytical skills and familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, Zoho).Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.Passion for food culture and brand-building.
