Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and driven Business Development Manager to join our UK education firm. The candidate will be responsible for identifying growth opportunities, building strong relationships with educational institutions, interacting with students and parents and developing strategies to increase enrollments and expand market presence. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of the education sector, excellent communication skills, and the ability to drive results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Market Research & Analysis : Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, competitive landscape, and potential partnership opportunities within the education sector.
  • Strategic Planning : Develop and implement business development strategies to drive student enrollments, partnerships, and collaborations with schools, colleges, and training centers.
  • Partnership Development : Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including educational institutions, corporate training partners, and relevant non-government and government bodies.
  • Sales & Outreach : Lead the sales efforts, including prospecting, lead generation, and nurturing to meet enrollment targets and revenue goals.
  • Brand Promotion : Work closely with the marketing team to develop and execute promotional activities, campaigns, and events that raise awareness of our programs and services.
  • Client Presentations : Deliver presentations to prospective partners and clients, showcasing the benefits of our programs and the value of partnering with our firm.
  • Negotiation & Closing : Manage the negotiation process, draft proposals, and close deals with new clients, ensuring mutual benefit and alignment with business objectives.
  • Reporting & Analysis : Track performance metrics, analyze the effectiveness of business development strategies, and report to senior management with actionable insights.
  • Team Collaboration : Collaborate with academic and operations teams to ensure seamless delivery of programs and maintain high satisfaction among partner institutions and clients.
Qualifications
  • Education : Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; Master’s degree or MBA is a plus.
  • Experience : 3-5 years of experience in business development, sales, or partnership roles, preferably in the education or EdTech industry.
  • Skills :
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding revenue targets and establishing successful partnerships.
  • Strong understanding of the education sector, including knowledge of academic programs, trends, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools, Microsoft Office Suite, and data analysis for sales tracking.
  • Additional : Familiarity with digital marketing strategies and lead generation techniques is a plus.
