Role: Commercial Manager / Commercials SpecialistLocation: MumbaiExperience: 3–6 years (Digital media agency mandatory)Department: Operations / Media CommercialsAbout the RoleWe are looking for an experienced Commercial Manager who can lead commercial negotiations with publishers, affiliate networks, and third-party media vendors, while managing the full cycle of media billing, reconciliation, and revenue optimisation. This role is critical in driving agency profitability , ensuring accurate billing , and strengthening relationships with media partners.Key Responsibilities1. Commercial Negotiations & Vendor ManagementNegotiate deals with publishers, affiliate partners, OTT, programmatic, and third-party vendorsSecure better rates, bonus inventory, credit lines, and commercial incentivesManage annual/quarterly negotiations for volume discounts & rate cardsCollaborate with media teams on commercial viability for new partners2. Agency Revenue & Margin OptimizationIdentify margin expansion opportunitiesEnsure accurate application of markups, client commissions, and incentivesDrive strategies to improve agency profitability on spends3. Billing & OperationsOversee PO/IO creation, verification, and trackingCo-ordinate with Accounts to ensure accurate and timely client invoicingValidate vendor invoices with campaign data (Meta/Google dashboards)Ensure smooth month-end closures and documentation4. Reconciliation & AuditMatch platform spends vs vendor invoicesIdentify discrepancies and resolve with vendorsMaintain detailed recon sheets for large-scale budgetsWork closely with Finance on audits5. Cross-Functional CollaborationWork with Media Ops, SEO, Paid Media, Programmatic & FinanceEnsure zero leakages in budgets and commercial processesRequired Skills & Experience3–6 years in digital media agency commercials/operationsStrong exposure to publisher/affiliate/vendor commercial negotiationsHands-on experience with media billing, POs, IOs, recon & budget trackingDeep understanding of agency earning models (commission, markup, hybrid)Proficiency in Excel (Pivot, VLOOKUP, large data recon sheets)Strong communication & vendor relationship skillsAbility to handle ₹20–80 Cr+ annual media budgetsGood to HaveExperience with Taboola, Outbrain, MiQ, InMobi, VCommission, Admitad, OptimiseExperience in a performance marketing setupUnderstanding of ROAS-driven campaign commercialWhy Join Us?Work directly with large-scale digital spendsOpportunity to influence commercial strategy & agency profitabilityFast-paced environment with growth into Commercial Lead roles
