Legal Manager Job Description

This role is a key member of our legal team, responsible for managing legal affairs and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Job Responsibilities:

The Legal Manager will oversee the development and implementation of contract management processes and policies, as well as train and guide other team members on legal matters related to contracts. They will also ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, including company policies and standards agreements with investors.

  • Review, draft, and negotiate customer master service agreements (MSAs) for SAAS, including those with US customers;
  • Train and guide other team members on legal matters related to contracts;
  • Develop and implement contract management processes and policies;

Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, company policies, and standards agreements with investors;
  • Handle intellectual property, trademarks, data privacy (including GDPR), and corporate governance;
  • Collaborate with other departments to manage and mitigate legal risks;
  • Take care of legal responsibilities involved in fund raising.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in law or local equivalent, plus Company Secretary (preferred) in any Indian state;
  • 5-8 years of legal experience in B2B SaaS companies with US customers (mandatory);
  • Basic knowledge of IP, patents, and trademarks;
  • Knowledge of GDPR is an added advantage;
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
