Job Title: Financial Manager

We are seeking an expert in financial management to lead our finance and administration team.

  • This role involves managing the entire accounting process, overseeing operations in accounts receivable/accounts payable, payroll, and ensuring all regulatory compliances.
  • You will be responsible for providing clear visibility through financial dashboards, MIS, statements, forecasting cash flow positions, and managing external stakeholders.
  • Actively participating and liaising with auditors to ensure smooth and timely audits, developing and implementing financial policies and procedures.
  • Supporting the management in future fund raises with necessary data, analysis, and due diligence.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing end-to-end accounting with a team to ensure accurate and timely books of accounts.
  • Overseeing operations in accounts receivable/accounts payable, payroll.
  • Ensuring all regulatory compliances, including TDS, GST, internal audit, statutory and tax audit, ITR filing, secretarial matters, etc.
  • Finalizing trial balances and provisions on a monthly/quarterly basis.
  • Providing clear visibility for statutory reporting and internal reporting of yearly, quarterly, and monthly financials to various stakeholders.
  • Forecasting cash flow positions, related borrowing needs, and available funds for expenses and investments.
  • Managing external stakeholders, partners, and agencies.
  • Actively participating and liaising with auditors.
  • Developing and implementing financial policies and procedures.
  • Supporting the management in future fund raises.

Requirements:

  • Qualified or Chartered Accountant (CA) with 3+ years of experience in similar roles with small-medium sized companies or technology start-ups.
  • Prior experience working in e-commerce accounting is an added advantage.
  • Experience in building the finance function from scratch for a scaling commerce company is highly desirable.
  • Strong ability to deal with ambiguity and problem-solve for aspects that you or the team may encounter for the first time.
  • Excellent understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Ability to engage customers and convey complex concepts clearly and concisely.
