Chief Data Strategist

This is a highly analytical position at a fast-growing D2C fashion brand, where you will be responsible for turning complex data points into actionable insights for the leadership team.
About Us
We are a modern fashion brand that is changing how fashion is designed, manufactured, and delivered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create a centralized platform for core business metrics: sales, returns, inventory, raw materials, BOMs, and production.
- Design real-time dashboards (Power BI / Looker / Tableau etc) for quick leadership insights.
- Develop monthly and quarterly MIS covering: Sales performance & sell-through, Return analysis (reasons, patterns, cost impact), Inventory health & aging, Transportation and logistics costs, FOB cost, CMT cost(Cut-Make-Trim) and raw material cost tracking.
- Build 3 month rolling forecasts combining sales data, return data and growth targets.
- Reverse-engineer SKU-level production plans based on demand and lead times.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in consulting, analytics, or strategy roles (D2C, retail, or eCommerce experience preferred).
- Expert in Excel/Google Sheets, SQL, and at least one BI tool (Power BI / Looker / Tableau).
- Strong understanding of inventory dynamics, BOMs, procurement, and demand planning.
- Ability to work in high-change environments and structure problems before jumping to solutions.
