Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to lead our network operations team. This is a dynamic role that requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our network infrastructure, ensuring optimal availability, performance and security. This includes supervising a team of engineers, managing network resources, implementing new technologies and optimizing existing systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Guide and inspire a team of engineers, overseeing shift schedules, conducting performance evaluations and building a collaborative culture.
  • Network Management: Supervise daily network operations to ensure optimal availability, performance and security.
  • Process Optimization: Develop and implement network-focused IT processes to enhance performance, strengthen security and enable scalable operations.
  • Client Alignment: Partner with cybersecurity and healthcare teams to ensure network services meet business goals and comply with industry standards.
  • Performance Analysis: Monitor SLAs, conduct ticket audits and use network performance metrics and root cause analysis to drive ongoing improvements.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Expertise in Firewall and Switch Technologies: Familiarity with Fortinet firewalls, Sophos and D-Link switches/APs for configuration and management.
  • Proficiency in VPN and Remote Access: Experience with IPsec VPN, SSL VPN, SD-WAN, BGP, MPLS and Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA).
  • Advanced Knowledge of Routing and Protocols: Expertise in TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, HTTP/HTTPS, SSH, SSL/TLS, BGP, OSPF, SNMP, ARP, ICMP and NAT.
  • Experience with Virtualization: Familiarity with VMware vSphere, Hyper-V and VirtualBox for virtualized environments.
  • Proficiency in Cloud Technologies: Experience with AWS and Azure for cloud-based services.
  • Operating System Administration: Advanced administration of Windows Server, Linux and macOS.
  • Scripting and Automation: Proficiency in Python, PowerShell or Bash for automating network tasks.
  • Documentation and Training Delivery: Ability to create network diagrams, SOPs, user manuals and deliver training to teams.
