About the Role

The goal of this position is to enhance operational efficiency and profitability by implementing strategic initiatives that drive improvement across various manufacturing sites and processes.

This specialist will collaborate with leadership teams and other experts to develop and execute a comprehensive plan for process transformation, focusing on excellence and continuous improvement.

Performance metrics will be measured annually based on the development and implementation of Operational Excellence initiatives, as well as the enhancement of a continuous improvement culture.

This role will be based at a shared services location.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Cost Improvement Projects
    • Identify and implement projects aimed at reducing costs through operational efficiency improvements.
  • Standards and Policies for Manufacturing Excellence
    • Develop standards and policies for group-wide manufacturing excellence.
  • OEE Program Development
    • Create an Overall Equipment Effectiveness program to track, identify, and eliminate production losses.
  • Diagnostics and Opportunities for Improvement
    • Analyze data to identify areas for process improvement.
  • Value Stream Mapping and LEAN Tools
    • Apply value stream mapping techniques to optimize processes; work with teams to implement or improve use of LEAN tools, 5S, Six Sigma, etc.
  • Manufacturing Excellence Programs
    • Propose and support projects within businesses to identify improvement levers, set objectives, and carry out Manufacturing Excellence programs.
  • Sustainability of Improvements
    • Evaluate and ensure sustainability of improvements through training and skill-building programs for leaders.
  • Leadership and Culture Development
    • Lead and mentor team members to foster a motivating work environment.
  • Quality and Safety
    • Recommend and implement methods to increase product/service quality.
    • Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to safety protocols and practices.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Work closely with OE managers in different locations and the Director of OE to implement improvement initiatives.
  • Additional Responsibilities
    • Perform other related tasks as assigned.
