Job Title: Technical Expertise Specialist

Department: Global Engineering Service

Location: Chennai, India (Ghaziabad)

This role supports technical teams in resolving service tasks, focusing on mechanical issues. Ideal candidates will be proficient document authors for Teamcenter and Windchill, creating and maintaining component information.

The team relies heavily on this position to ensure efficient operation. As a specialist, you will work with unexpected situations and time-sensitive tasks as part of your daily responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate within a globally responsible team of technical experts in Global Engineering Service
  2. Act as the primary point of contact for technical issues between business units
  3. Assign tasks along the technical support process
  4. Gather information about the performance of mechanical components of wind turbines
  5. Identify and report potential serial issues
  6. Evaluate risk factors, budget, and schedule necessary activities related to non-conformities
  7. Support business units in developing sustainable solutions for mechanical problems with distinctive technical expertise
  8. Create repair and inspection instructions for mechanical component assemblies
  9. Define, implement, and obtain service processes for mechanical assemblies
  10. Improve internal standards and processes, ensuring permanent knowledge transfer between departments and locations

Requirements:

  • Minimum 6-8 years' experience in Mechanical drive trains and roller bearing design, development, fault condition evaluation, error analysis preferably in big size roller bearings
  • Proven experience in project coordination or similar role
  • Strong analytical and data manipulation skills in Excel
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with task prioritization ability
  • Strong multitasking skills
  • Good stakeholder management, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills for collaboration with stakeholders
  • Understanding of technical background
