Technical Application Specialist
Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled technical application specialist to join our team. As a technical application specialist, you will be responsible for translating business requirements into application code, documenting application specifications, and performing code reviews to ensure alignment with architectural specifications.
You will work closely with business analysts, scrum masters, product owners, and other cross-functional resources to provide technical support and guidance. Additionally, you will collaborate with development team members to ensure proper implementation and deployment of solutions.
Your responsibilities will include diagnosing and resolving complex application issues, maintaining current knowledge of relevant technologies and business processes, and developing efficient methods to reuse existing components.
You will also apply thorough technical knowledge and understanding of business applications required to facilitate the development of supporting knowledge architecture and standards.
As a technical application specialist, you will design, execute, assess, and troubleshoot software programs and applications. You will also provide support in configuration, coding, developing, and documenting software specifications throughout the project life cycle.
In addition, you will prepare Oracle functional, technical design documents, and unit test documents for related areas. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you will need to have at least 8 years of experience in IT as a software developer. You should have knowledge in Oracle Application Modules Revenue Management & Billing, Payables, Receivables, General Ledger, and iExpenses & iProcurement.
You should also have troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to identify, analyze, and resolve technical issues in Oracle EBS and integrated systems. Excellent knowledge in PL/SQL and Unix Shell Script is also required.
Furthermore, you should have experience in developing and customizing Oracle XML Publisher Reports, Bursting, Forms, CEMLI (RICE), Oracle Workflow, Business Events, and WebADI. Performance tuning, SCM tools GitHub, ADO, and expertise in programming languages such as Java and Python are also essential.
A secure software development life cycle (SSDLC) practice and experience in various project methodologies like Six Sigma, Waterfall, RUP, Scrum, and Agile are preferred.
