Senior Vice President of Operations Job Description

About the Role:

The Senior Vice President of Operations will lead the operational strategy for a foreign university establishing its first campus in India.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive campus strategy that aligns with the university's global mission.
  • Operational Oversight: Lead day-to-day campus operations, including administration, student services, infrastructure, and faculty recruitment.
  • Financial Stewardship: Formulate and manage annual budgets to optimize resource allocation and drive financial sustainability.
  • Academic & Regulatory Compliance: Ensure full compliance with Indian higher education regulations and internal academic policies.
  • Partnership Development: Cultivate and manage strategic partnerships to enhance academic relevance and employability outcomes.
  • Student & Faculty Experience: Champion student success through improved academic support, research opportunities, and campus life.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Masters degree in Business Administration, Education Management, or related field. A doctoral degree would be an advantage.
  • Minimum 15 years of leadership experience in academic administration, higher education management, or corporate strategy.
  • Proven expertise in navigating regulatory frameworks, strategic planning, and stakeholder engagement at senior levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead large teams, manage complex operations, and drive measurable institutional outcomes.
  • Strong financial acumen, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative leadership style.
