Technical Support Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Technical Support Engineer to join our team. As a Technical Support Engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring customer satisfaction by resolving product queries and support issues.

Your primary responsibility will be to interact with customers via phone, email, and chat to resolve support incidents. You will also contact and resolve customer issues within target service level agreements. Additionally, you will document customer incidents with troubleshooting, root cause, and resolution information.

To succeed in this role, you must have excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a passion for technology. You should be able to work effectively in high-visibility, high-pressure scenarios and adapt to rotational 24/7 support shifts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Resolve customer inquiries and support issues via phone, email, and chat
  • Contact and resolve customer issues within agreed-upon timeframes
  • Document customer incidents with troubleshooting information

You will collaborate with internal teams to identify root causes and escalate as necessary. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience in product support interacting with English-speaking customers.

Required Skills:
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Problem-solving skills and strong troubleshooting acumen
  • Proficient in using ticketing and tech support platforms such as Zendesk, Freshdesk, and Salesforce

The candidate should have working knowledge of SQL queries, basic networking concepts, Linux terminal commands, and various HTTP headers. Experience with tools like cURL, Postman, Fiddler, and Chrome Debugger is beneficial.
