Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Process Design Engineer to support process design, simulation, documentation, and commissioning efforts. This is a high-impact opportunity for a motivated early-career engineer to grow within a globally distributed pharma project team.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in flow chemistry and batch process design, strong knowledge of process design tools and calculations, and experience in preparing and interpreting BFDs, PFDs, P&IDs.

  • Develop and optimize flow chemistry and batch processes for scale-up and commercial manufacturing.
  • Perform process design calculations (heat & mass balance, reaction kinetics, equipment sizing, pressure drop, mixing, and scale-up parameters).
  • Prepare and review engineering deliverables such as: Block Flow Diagrams (BFDs), Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
  • Support process safety assessments (HAZOP, risk analysis, safety studies).
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Chemical Engineering (or equivalent).
  • 5–7 years of proven experience in process design engineering within the pharmaceutical/chemical industry.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.
  • Knowledge of process safety (HAZOP, LOPA, FMEA) is desirable.
