Backend Developer Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Backend Developer to join our team and contribute to the development of innovative products that redefine how daily wage workers access and manage their earnings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and deploy scalable and efficient backend systems using NodeJS, PostgreSQL, and Kafka.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify trade-offs between speed, technical debt, and product delivery.
  • Communicate complex technical topics to non-technical stakeholders and drive progress through clear and concise communication.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality code, emphasizing best practices, extensibility, and testability.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and experience working with the NodeJS ecosystem, especially NestJS.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL, including writing and optimizing raw SQL queries.
  • Familiarity with Redis, Docker containers, and AWS services (SQS, SES, MSK, RDS, S3, Lambda).
  • Ability to grasp and reason through complex systems and data flows.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Retool or other low-code/internal tooling platforms.
  • Basic proficiency in Python scripting.
  • Familiarity with GitHub Actions, JIRA, secret management, or Datadog.
