Job Title: Senior Researcher

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Researcher to join our team. As a key member of our research department, you will play a vital role in driving innovation and advancing our understanding of microbiology.

Your primary responsibility will be to develop molecular methods for detecting microbes in clinical specimens. This will involve reviewing literature, designing and implementing NGS-based detection methods, analyzing molecular data, and interpreting results.

In addition to your technical expertise, you will also be responsible for preparing SOPs and validation protocols, supporting sales and customer service teams with technical queries, and presenting experimental results to senior scientific staff and clients.

You will work closely with our bioinformatics team to ensure timely analysis result delivery and collaborate with other researchers to drive project success.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a PhD in Microbiology, at least 8 years of experience in Microbiology, NGS, and RT-PCR based assays, and experience in academic projects end-to-end delivery and liaising with sales, lab, sequencing, and bioinformatics teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement NGS-based detection methods for microbes in clinical specimens;
  • Review literature and design effective molecular methods for microbial detection;
  • Analyze molecular data and interpret results to inform decision-making;
  • Prepare SOPs and validation protocols to ensure compliance and quality control;
  • Support sales and customer service teams with technical queries and provide expert advice;
  • Present experimental results to senior scientific staff and clients through clear and concise reports and presentations;
  • Collaborate with the bioinformatics team to ensure timely analysis result delivery and drive project success;
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • PhD in Microbiology or related field;
  • At least 8 years of experience in Microbiology, NGS, and RT-PCR based assays;
  • Experience in academic projects end-to-end delivery and liaising with sales, lab, sequencing, and bioinformatics teams;
