JOB DESCRIPTION Designation Research Investigator Senior Research Investigator 7-I 7-II Job Location Bangalore Department Pathology IHC About Syngene Incorporated in 1993 Syngene International Ltd is an innovation-focused global discovery development and manufacturing organization providing integrated scientific services to the pharmaceutical biotechnology nutrition animal health consumer goods and specialty chemical industries around the world Syngene s clientele includes world leaders such as Bristol-Myers Squibb Baxter Amgen GSK Merck KGaA and Herbalife Its innovative culture is driven by the passion of its 4240- a strong team of scientists who work with clients from around the world to solve their scientific problems improve R D productivity speed up time to market and lower the cost of innovation Job Purpose 1-2 Lines This position oversees one of the major technology platforms pathology digital pathology and IHC and is into clinical biomarker assay development validation and analysis Key Responsibilities 1 Working in a team of pathologists provide Clinical Pathology support to programs projects at BBRC in close collaboration with the BMS pathology team 2 Responsible for the development of IHC ISH assay development qualification validation and sample analysis 3 Works in close collaboration with the scientist pathologists onsite to support translational pathology and immunohistochemistry workflows 4 Support ongoing translational R D projects in collaboration with the hospital network 5 Undergo self-training and support the digital pathology workflow under the supervision of senior pathologists 6 Actively participate in SOP preparation and maintenance also support and periodically review Inventory management Educational Qualification and Experience MBBS MD DNB Pathology Technical functional Skills Maximum 4-6 Points 1 Hands-on experience in pathology IHC working in the hospital or corporate pharma technology setting 2 Hands-on experience basic knowledge of IHC is required 3 Knowledge of Digital pathology is desired 4 Experience in oncology and or other therapeutic areas along with handling clinical samples and clinical programs is essential 5 Experience of working in a regulated laboratory setting CAP NABL or other GxP environment is good to have Experience Around 2 to 5yrs of relevant experience in histopathology IHC working in research settings academia and corporate Hospitals Pharma Behavioral Skills Ensure completion of experiments and generate accurate and reproducible data from experiments Good oral and written communication and presentation skills to work in a multi-disciplinary team Equal Opportunity Employer It is the policy of Syngene to provide equal employment opportunity EEO to all persons regardless of age color national origin citizenship status physical or mental disability race religion creed gender sex sexual orientation gender identity and or expression genetic information marital status status with regard to public assistance veteran status or any other characteristic protected by applicable legislation or local law In addition Syngene will provide reasonable accommodations for qualified individuals with disabilities
