The purpose of this role is to serve as the primary point of contact for staffs and sales teams, driving strategic recommendations based on a deep understanding of retail business objectives and staff-related challenges.

Responsibilities

1. Governance: Drive human resource metrics such as staffing, retention, engagement, and cost for the business.

2. Collaboration: Engage with Regional Managers/Territory Managers on recruitment, compensation, and employee relations.

3. Employee Satisfaction: Operate independently to ensure employee satisfaction and development of the team.

4. Training and Mentoring: Train, mentor, and lead HR initiatives and best practices for the team.

5. Change Implementation: Directly interact with store staffs, implement change initiatives related to culture, performance, recognition, and policies.

6. HR Operations: Responsible for HR operations, induction, performance management, employee relations, and exit process.

7. Leadership Development: Coach individual managers on growing management/leadership capabilities.

8. Policy Implementation: Own/drive HR policies and directives and ensure smooth implementation across the organisation.

9. Travel Requirements: Should be able to travel across the country for staff meetings.

Qualifications:

  • 3-6 years' experience in retail relationships, preferably from large format businesses;
  • Ability to manage big teams;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Conversational proficiency in Hindi and English.
