Job Title: Chief Procurement Officer

We are seeking an experienced Chief Procurement Officer to lead our procurement function and drive strategic sourcing initiatives.

Responsibilities:
  • Sourcing and Procurement:
    • Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with business objectives and project timelines.
    • Manage the procurement process for project materials, including fabrication and critical bought-out items.
    • Negotiate contracts with suppliers and contractors, ensuring compliance with financial risk mitigation tools.
  • Vendor Management:
    • BUILD strong relationships with suppliers and key stakeholders (CXO level).
    • Evaluate and onboard new vendors, ensuring technical and commercial screening.
    • Monitor vendor performance and resolve disputes or claims in a timely manner.
  • Process Improvement:
    • Lead the adoption and improvement of procurement processes on ERP, PLM, and data analytics platforms.
    • Ensure accurate and audit-ready procurement records, approvals, and documentation.
Requirements:
  • 15-20 years of experience in project procurement, with at least 5-7 years in a leadership role.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Production Engineering, with an MBA preferred.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP/Oracle), MS Excel (advanced), Power BI, and PLM platforms.
  • Strong negotiation and persuasion skills for high-value/volume sourcing.
Desirable Skills:
  • Knowledge of Air Pollution Control, waste heat recovery, or thermal projects.
  • Familiarity with commercial terms, INCO terms, BG/LCs, and import/export documentation.
