Greetings from a leading manufacturer of Chlor-Alkali chemicals.

We are seeking an experienced procurement professional to lead our procurement function by developing and executing sourcing strategies for raw materials, chemicals, consumables, and services.

  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies for key spend categories, including raw materials, solvents, catalysts, packaging, and engineering supplies.
  • Monitor global and domestic chemical markets to anticipate pricing trends and availability.
  • Identify, assess, and develop suppliers (domestic and international).
  • Lead negotiations and manage long-term agreements, ensuring favorable terms, pricing, and service levels.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines in procurement contracts.
  • Drive cost reduction initiatives through strategic sourcing, vendor consolidation, and process improvements.
  • Prepare and monitor procurement budgets and ensure adherence to financial targets.
  • Maintain optimum stock levels while minimising working capital.
  • Ensure timely availability of materials to avoid production disruptions.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing procurement team.
  • Drive digitalization and automation of procurement processes using ERP systems.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in strategic sourcing and procurement within the chemical industry.
  • Familiarity with customs regulations and import/export documentation.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
