System Reliability Engineer

As a senior system reliability engineer, you will play a pivotal role in developing cutting-edge systems and software that align with customer business goals and needs. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation in various areas of our offerings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate actively in detecting, remediating, and reporting on production incidents to ensure service level agreements (SLAs) and service level objectives (SLOs) are defined and met.
  • Engage in on-call rotation to guarantee coverage for planned and unplanned events.
  • Collaborate with engineering organizations to implement processes, identify improvements, and drive consistent results.
  • Work with system reliability engineers and engineering counterparts to drive disaster recovery exercises, game days, training, and other response readiness efforts.
  • Contribute to building and automating tooling, implementing best practices on observability, and managing services in production to achieve market-leading service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Improve the scalability and reliability of systems in production.
  • Automate the provisioning and maintenance of infrastructure.
Requirements:
  • Expertise in developing Ansible playbooks and automation for infrastructure as code using Terraform and Cloud Formation Templates.
  • Experience in defining, measuring, and improving reliability metrics (SLO/SLI/Error budgets).
  • Strong understanding and working experience with AWS components.
  • Ability to design and implement APIs for internal teams.
Desirable Requirements:
  • 6-8 years of related experience in the software engineering industry, supporting large-scale software systems in production.
  • Certification in cloud computing and experience with services like containers, databases, and serverless architecture.
  • Experience in Ansible/Terraform and Python programming languages.
