Role Overview
We are seeking a Technical Sales Specialist to drive sales by combining technical expertise with sales strategies. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of our products and services, as well as the ability to explain technical features to clients in a way that highlights their value and solves customer challenges. As a key member of our sales team, you will work closely with customers, product development, and support teams to ensure alignment and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop a deep understanding of our products and services to effectively communicate technical details and benefits to customers.
- Work with customers to understand their technical requirements and offer solutions that meet their needs.
- Conduct product demonstrations, presentations, and technical discussions with prospective clients.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to create customized solutions, proposals, and technical documentation.
- Address client inquiries and resolve technical issues with pre-sales and post-sales support as needed.
- Identify and qualify potential sales opportunities, providing guidance on the best use of company products and services.
- Participate in the development of technical sales strategies, including pricing, positioning, and product enhancements.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitive landscape, and technical advancements relevant to our product line.
Requirements
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or related field.
- 3 years in a technical role, with at least 1 year in a sales or customer-facing role within a tech-related field.
- Sales Growth: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, leveraging technical knowledge to develop and deliver effective sales presentations.
- Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies to better position our products and services.
- Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, product development, and marketing teams to ensure alignment and support customer requirements effectively.
- Strong knowledge of [relevant technologies or industry, e.g., software solutions, cloud computing, telecommunications].
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical information to a non-technical audience.
- Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to handle objections and address customer pain points.
- Proficiency with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and MS Office Suite.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Technology (B.Tech).
Preferred Skills
