Special Needs Educator Position

Job Title: Special Educator
About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate educator to work one-on-one with a child in their home environment.
The focus of this role will be on developing functional academics, communication skills, and supporting daily living activities (ADLs).
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A diploma, bachelor's or master's degree in Special Education (RCI-registered preferred)
- Minimum 1 year of experience working with children with developmental disabilities
- A strong understanding of communication strategies and life skills training
The responsibilities of the role include:
- Designing and delivering personalized special education sessions in the child's home environment
- Building functional communication, basic literacy, and language through structured activities
- Supporting the child's independence in ADLs (e.g., dressing, eating, basic routines)
The successful candidate will be able to:
- Work independently in a home-based setting
- Maintain clear session records and update our team regularly
- Collaborate with parents and other therapists to ensure holistic support
