Royal Enfield is a leading manufacturer of motorcycles, seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to lead its payroll function.


Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Payroll Manager to oversee the end-to-end payroll operations, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and internal service delivery expectations.


Key Responsibilities
  • Lead payroll functions, including employee master creation, salary release, reimbursement accounting, and P&L analysis.
  • Review and release salaries to employee bank accounts.
  • Responsible for reviewing and releasing reimbursement of travel and other business-related expenses.
  • Share budget vs actual variance reports with management, highlighting P&L impacts.
  • Prepare CXO dashboards for functional-level travel expenses incurred during the month and YTD.
  • Contribute to business partnering teams on a monthly and annual basis for SBP preparation.
  • Explore and implement process automation/simplification to save time and manual efforts.
  • Adhere to IC COE controls and report exceptions identified.
  • Complete compliance reports/checklists for statutory matters, ensuring timely payment of statutory dues, submissions, and dissemination of forms to employees.
  • Serve as a single point of contact for functional heads and HRBPs regarding payroll functions.
  • Mentor and guide the team to achieve deliverables with improved processes.
  • Coordinate with direct tax consultants for statutory filing within due dates to avoid tax audit observations.
  • Resolve employee escalations and queries without loss, liaising with employees (including CXOs).
  • Evaluate payroll processing consultant performance and settle vendor bills.
  • Review audit schedules and coordinate with internal and external auditors to complete audits without observations.

Requirements

This role requires at least 5-7 years of relevant experience in payroll services, preferably in payroll management. Key skills include knowledge of income tax laws, PF, bonus, gratuity, and other employee-related laws, strong analytical skills, good communication and presentation skills, and ability to handle big data. Familiarity with Google applications and MS Office tools, such as Excel and Word, is essential. Experience with SAP is desirable.


Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is ₹25,00,000 - ₹35,00,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. Royal Enfield offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and opportunities for professional growth.
