Financial Operations Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and systems-driven professional to manage end-to-end financial operations while ensuring accuracy and transparency of data across shipments, profitability, and actuals. The role demands strong expertise in managing financial data governance to provide leadership with real-time insights for decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Control and Optimization: Oversee and optimize cash flow management and working capital utilization. Monitor shipments, revenue recognition, and cost allocations to ensure accurate profitability tracking. Ensure all actuals are correctly recorded in the books of accounts, aligning with business and statutory requirements. Safeguard against data manipulation by implementing strong internal controls and audit mechanisms.
  • Business Intelligence and Profitability Analysis: Develop, maintain, and present robust business intelligence dashboards and reports on shipments, collections, profitability, and cost structures. Drive profitability analysis at shipment, vertical, and entity level, highlighting key variances vs budgets/forecasts. Provide actionable insights to leadership on margin improvement, shipment performance, and cost efficiencies. Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and timely reporting across all business intelligence functions.
  • Accounting and Compliance: Drive accounting discipline across invoicing, collections, vendor payments, and reconciliations. Ensure compliance with statutory and internal reporting standards. Partner with auditors and internal teams for transparent, manipulation-free reporting. Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Tech teams to ensure visibility of shipments, receivables, and obligations.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Liaise with Sales, Operations, and Tech teams to ensure visibility of shipments, receivables, and obligations. Collaborate with business heads to align business intelligence insights with operational realities.

Desired Candidate Profile

- Chartered Accountant (CA) / CMA / MBA (Finance) with 6–10 years of post-qualification experience.

- Proven experience in financial operations, business intelligence, and profitability tracking, preferably in logistics/supply chain-intensive industries.

- Strong business intelligence and accounting background with expertise in financial data analysis and reporting. Advanced skills in Excel, data modeling, ERP systems, and business intelligence dashboards.

- High integrity, attention to detail, and ability to prevent and detect data manipulation.

- Strong communication and leadership skills for cross-functional engagement.
