Senior Technology Product Lead

Job Title

A Senior IT Product Manager leads the development of technology products, collaborating with stakeholders to define and refine product vision, roadmap, and strategy. They ensure alignment between business objectives and technical execution.

The role involves translating product vision into actionable tasks in the backlog, prioritizing and managing the product backlog by working closely with product, engineering, UX/UI, and business teams. The Senior IT Product Manager breaks down high-level features into actionable user stories that are well-defined, clear, and technically feasible.

Key responsibilities include gathering functional requirements and conceptualizing features that meet customer needs, ensuring non-functional requirements are taken into consideration as well.

The Senior IT Product Manager leads the product definition in collaboration with the Scrum Master and development team (UI/UX team, architecture, engineering, business analyst) including other relevant inputs that may affect the scope of the product.

They own and facilitate features and user story refinement and planning sessions, manage the team product backlog, and prioritize user stories, ensuring the product backlog is visible, transparent, and clear to all.

The Senior IT Product Manager ensures the team is focused on developing deliverables that provide optimum value for the user and the business.

They approve product increments on sprint reviews and acceptance of final iteration plans.

The role requires accountability for the definition of done as well as acceptance.

The Senior IT Product Manager leads the product development team(s) and guides implementation, responsible for the team vision, product roadmap, and release plan in close collaboration with other relevant teams and the Agile Release Train.

They collaborate with Engineering Teams to ensure technical requirements are met, participate in sprint ceremonies, sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives.

The Senior IT Product Manager serves as a liaison between business stakeholders and engineering teams, communicating progress, risks, and dependencies clearly and regularly.

They ensure products meet required technical standards and business requirements through rigorous testing and validation processes, supporting teams by providing acceptable success criteria.

The Senior IT Product Manager collaborates with UX/UI teams to ensure pricing solutions and experiences are optimized, keeping the customer and store team members in mind.

They define product release schedules in coordination with stakeholders and development teams, ensuring features are delivered in a timely manner.

The role fosters a culture of continuous improvement by collaborating closely with stakeholders and development teams to improve processes, tools, and workflows.

Requirements

• 3+ years experience as a Product Owner, Technical Product Owner, or Technical Business Analyst.
• Solid understanding of software development processes, cloud platforms, and systems architecture.
• Familiarity with microservices and event-driven architectures is a bonus.
• Strong familiarity with Agile methodologies, Scrum, Kanban, and development tools Jira, Confluence, etc.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business language.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Collaboration skills with experience in stakeholder management.
• Experience in coaching and mentoring highly performant engineering teams.
• Working knowledge of the retail industry and pricing domain is a bonus.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
