Hotel Front Desk Agent Job Description

At Fernandes & Associates, we are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Hotel Front Desk Agent to join our team. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service and ensuring a pleasant stay for all visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Register guests, manage reservations, and provide information about rooms, rates, and amenities.
  • Welcome guests upon arrival, assign rooms, and respond to customer inquiries.
  • Manage online and phone reservations, as well as handle client complaints in a timely and professional manner.
  • Liaise with the housekeeping staff to ensure all rooms are clean, tidy, and fully-furnished to meet guests' needs.
  • Confirm group reservations, arrange personalized services for VIP customers, and upsell additional facilities and services when appropriate.
  • Maintain updated records of bookings and payments.

Requirements and Skills
  • Work experience as a Hotel Front Desk Agent, Receptionist, or similar role.
  • Experience with hotel reservations software, such as Cloudbeds and RoomKeyPMS.
  • Understanding of how travel planning websites operate, like Booking and TripAdvisor.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Degree in hotel management is a plus.
