Database Administrator Role

We are seeking a skilled Database Administrator to fill this critical position. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining database systems that support business operations.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain database systems to meet the needs of various stakeholders.
  • Develop and optimize SQL queries to improve database performance and efficiency.
  • Ensure data security and integrity through regular backups and monitoring processes.
  • Maintain and upgrade database software and hardware as needed to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve technical issues promptly.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in database engineering, administration, and support.
  • At least 6 years of experience working with MySQL databases.
  • Expertise in SQL, including evaluation of new frameworks and deployment, maintenance, and performance tuning of clusters.
  • A solid understanding of the SQL and NoSQL landscape and available frameworks.
  • Strong skills in Linux and network maintenance.
  • Proficiency in one or more scripting languages, including Perl, Python, and Shell.
