Job Title: Oracle Exadata Database Specialist

Role Overview

As an Oracle Exadata Database Specialist, you will be responsible for implementing, configuring, maintaining, and ensuring the performance of critical Oracle RDBMS systems, including Exadata and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), to guarantee availability and consistency in our services.

Main Responsibilities
  • Administer and optimize Oracle Exadata systems (compute nodes, storage cells, InfiniBand) to ensure peak performance.
  • Manage Oracle databases on OCI, including provisioning, patching, backup, and recovery, to maintain database integrity.
  • Lead end-to-end cloud migration initiatives from on-premises to OCI, developing high-quality solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Design and implement high availability and disaster recovery solutions (RAC, Data Guard, GoldenGate) to minimize data loss and system downtime.
  • Monitor and tune performance using AWR, ASH, OEM, and SQL tuning tools to identify areas for improvement.
  • Automate database operations using scripting (Shell, Python, Ansible) to increase efficiency and reduce manual errors.
  • Collaborate with cloud architects and application teams to support hybrid and cloud-native deployments, driving innovation and growth.
Key Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Oracle Exadata administration and cloud migration.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality results under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in a team environment.
